Chapter 9 - A New Suspect

I hurried to my destination. There were more guards than usual, but that made no difference to me. I slipped past them unnoticed, same as the shadows of any alley cat. I ran through the building. There was no need to avoid security cameras, as the power was out. Soon, I came to the room where they kept the computers. I needed to get more information on the head. I easily hacked through the pass-codes and downloaded the file I wanted onto a hard-drive. I spun around in the chair and came face to face with a man with curly blonde hair and a boyish face. He had a knowing smile on. “Going somewhere?”

Chapter 8 - A Bird in a Kat's Trap

A light breeze blew against my face. The cool air felt refreshing on that hot, sticky night. But that heat was very convenient for me. There had been a blackout. No electricity could be accessed in any building. My target that night was the organization itself. This was about a year after I became Ally Kat. I rarely ever had a chance to get into the organization. They always kept it tight shut. Besides, the head of theirs was a genius who knew how to keep even me out. Their one mistake was that they relied on electricity too much. Tonight was going to be a cinch getting in and out of there.

Chapter 7 - Meeting Ally Kat

I believe it was at this point that Walter decided that I needed a codename. I couldn't use my real name, nor could I use the name of my disguise, which is what everyone else knew me as. I needed to make another name for myself that everyone would fear, as my codename would be associated with criminals. I overheard some people talking about how much they hated cats. I had always thought they were just cute and cuddly. But then as I watched one run down an ally, I realized they were more than that. Their cuteness was just a cover. When they went out at night, that was who they really were. They were hunters. And so was I. Who am I? I am Ally Kat.
